Me
Catheleen Veiga is a Capeverdean Designer, with a love for fashion and storytelling. She studied in Boston, Massachusetts, but now lives in California. However coming from a country with a rich tradition like Cape Verde and being exposed to various other cultures has always been an inspiration and one of the driving reasons behind her innovative designs and unique point of view. Her love to travel, to details and to ancient stories are the foundation to most of her projects. However, she is also inspired by current events and social problems. Consequently, these two visions together end up giving the cultural, modern-traditional, natural and afro-chic aesthetic to her designs.
Catheleen graduated Lasell University with a major on Fashion Design and Production. She likes to use her passion to express herself and to advocate for what is right and for things she believes should not be forgotten, like history. Therefore, her biggest goal is to be in a place where she can use her diverse heritage and her talent to make changes and to help other be confident about themselves and their history.
